This Installation work was designed and shared by Xu Yue, Xiong Jiale and Wang Rui, and the basic information, technical implementation paths, interactive methods, installation pictures, and videos of the eight artworks were shared.
The “Mountain Sound” interactive narrative device aims to awaken people’s deep resonance for the natural landscape environment with the sound of Guqin, and transform the intangible rhythm into a tangible visual picture through innovative technical means, so that participants can feel the visual beauty of the natural sound of “mountain, water and wind”.
At the same time, it integrates the profound connotation of the traditional Chinese five-tone “Palace Shang Horn Yu”. These five tones are not only the cornerstone of ancient music, but also occupy a pivotal position in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine, philosophy and culture. They go beyond music, with each note representing a specific element and emotion that is closely tied to our emotional state.

What’s the Operation mechanism?
As an input device, the Guqin converts the interactive behavior of the participants into audio information transmission processing and into interactive feedback output of vision and hearing.
The output effect from the audio-visual two dimensions, through the continuous output of water, wind and other feedback effects to create a unique Chinese ink painting culture atmosphere experience.
ARDUINO uploads the data processing program, TOUCHDESIGNER receives the signal for data processing, and presents the visual picture, and the audience can interact on the spot
The keyboard screen interaction system realizes the information transmission and processing between the keyboard and the screen through the combination of ARDUINO and TOUCHDESIGNER, so as to achieve interactive effects.
